Terms of use

A tool for registering, configuring, and maintaining MeshCore repeaters, and for sharing that work with other people. It sends commands to your repeaters over the mesh under its own identity, once a repeater has granted that identity access. It is a convenience layer over hardware you own and control — not a network, not a carrier, and not a party to what your radios transmit.

Keep your sign-in methods to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Don't impersonate someone else or register a username in order to pass yourself off as them. One person may hold more than one account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

Only register a repeater you own or are authorized to administer. Granting MeshTender admin access is a decision you make on the device, and you can revoke it there at any time — the instructions are in the docs.

Operating radio equipment is regulated, and the rules depend on where you are, what band you're on, and what license you hold. Complying with them is entirely yours: MeshTender will faithfully send the commands you ask it to, including ones that change transmit power, frequency, or region settings, and it can't tell whether the result is legal where you're standing.

Don't:

• try to break into, overload, or probe the service or other people's accounts;
• use it to reach or reconfigure repeaters you have no authority over;
• automate it at a volume that degrades it for everyone else;
• post content that's unlawful, or that harasses or endangers someone;
• use it to interfere with other people's communications.

Your documentation, notes, profile, and organization content remain yours. By putting them here you allow us to store and display them as needed to run the service — including showing them to the people and organizations you share them with, and on public pages you switch on. Some records are shared by nature: entries you add to a repeater's maintenance history, and commands you run on someone else's repeater, stay in that repeater's log so its owner keeps an intact record. Those persist after you delete your account, attributed to the name you used at the time and nothing more.

This is a hobby project, run in spare time. It may be slow, break, lose data, change without notice, or stop entirely. Keep your own record of anything you can't afford to lose — especially repeater documentation and site access details. If the service is going to shut down for good, we'll try to give warning and a way to get your data out, but that's an intention rather than a guarantee.

MeshTender is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind. We don't promise it's fit for any particular purpose, that it will be available when you need it, or that it won't send a command that leaves a repeater in a state you didn't want. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss or damage arising from using it — including unreachable or misconfigured hardware, lost data, or missed communications. Nothing here removes rights you have that can't legally be waived.

Delete your account whenever you like; the privacy page explains exactly what that removes. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk — where it's reasonable to do so, we'll say why first.

These terms may change; the date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the site means accepting the new version. If any part turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
